About Wilma Birdwell
I have always loved to take photos all my life. I only had point and shot cameras. Not very good ones but I still loved the magic of trying. I was in an accident and I had gotten a 3pix camera to walk with as part of the healing process. The cheapest part of it too. But the more shots I took, I began to learn more and get better. So this is where I am today. I still love taking shots of about anything and trying shots that they say will not work. Some have and some not. But I am now on a new journey to see if there is anyone who likes what I do enough to pay for it. I don't have a style. If I see some thing that gets my attention I will shoot it with wild abandon. My family and friends are driven up the wall!

Thank you Nancy! This is a very beautiful place! I wish I could go back spend a year doing nothing but shooting. There is a primitive camp ground there in the park that is free and the buffalos wander thru and hang out all around.

Great capture, Wilma. The alignment of the layers of rock is really striking. Is this the Badlands?
Wilma Birdwell replied:
Yes it is the Badlands, I think of it as the Wowlands. Thank you, Charles.
