Artist's Description

This is fiddle is 300 years old. I saw and heard it at a flea market in Cookeville,TN.About an hour east of Nashville on I-40. On the weekend players of all kinds and levels will come and play awhile and then go on with their day. The music of all kinds is sweet and painfully beautiful. I am very lucky that I was allowed to take some shots. The thoughts of the people who have played and listen to the music from this fiddle is justs sets off my imagination to the stars.

About Wilma Birdwell

Wilma Birdwell

I have always loved to take photos all my life. I only had point and shot cameras. Not very good ones but I still loved the magic of trying. I was in an accident and I had gotten a 3pix camera to walk with as part of the healing process. The cheapest part of it too. But the more shots I took, I began to learn more and get better. So this is where I am today. I still love taking shots of about anything and trying shots that they say will not work. Some have and some not. But I am now on a new journey to see if there is anyone who likes what I do enough to pay for it. I don't have a style. If I see some thing that gets my attention I will shoot it with wild abandon. My family and friends are driven up the wall!
